SWE Boston K-12 Outreach Committee

The SWE Boston K-12 Outreach Committee coordinates programs concerning career guidance that inform women, their families, guidance counselors, and the public in general, of the qualifications and achievements of women engineers and the opportunities open to them.

Current programs include Mentoring, Girl Scout Badge Workshops, School Outreach, Speakers Bureau, Informational Interviewing, Job Shadow, Merit Certificates, Scholarships, and Science Fair Judging.

Science Club for Girls meets in several locations around Boston.
Engineering is Elementary Project at the Museum of Science, Boston, aims to foster engineering and technological literacy among children.
Northeast Sustainable Energy Association offers hands-on science and technology education for students in grades K-12. They have several free downloadable curricular units on renewable energies and transportation.
